Antal has historically been at the forefront of technological and functional innovation in the sailing world, with a know-how deeply rooted in the company's DNA and developed through oceans and regattas around the world.

Antal offers a comprehensive catalog of more than 1000 items dedicated to sailboat deck equipment. Each piece of equipment is designed, manufactured, and assembled directly at our facility. Antal products are now widely used in regatta circles, as well as in serial production, luxury shipyards, and classic projects.

1950 → 1977

Originally a foundry in 1950, Carraro family’s factory became metal toy producers in 1965, to go on to become Antal to follow their sailing passion in 1977.

1978 → 1981

First marine hardware catalogue and first attendance at Genoa's Salone Nautico. Antal became a worldwide marine industry player.

1982 → 1985

Introduction of first powered and Maxi yacht winches, clutches and ball bearing cars. In the same year, Antal was selected as 'Team Azzurra' supplier.

1988 → 1992

Invention of the revolutionary Line Driver system and game changer Full Batten mainsail system. Early progress in CNC machinery and test laboratory.

1993 → 1995

Worldwide presentation of the smart halyards' holding system solution. First appearance of V-Grip clutches and mainsail system to equip Perini Navi.

2000 → 2005

Celebrating offshore sailing. Invention of W100 winch, Tulip sheaves and snatch blocks to race on Soldini's Fila and Groupama Orma 60 trimarans.

2008 → 2010

Low Friction Ring was introduced to the market and revolutionized line-handling on sailboats forever. Antal developed Line Driver powered version.

2015 → 2018

Pittman Innovation winner (2015) for Roller Cleat project. Grinder lightweight pedestal system production and Jammer clutch improvement.

2022 → 2024

SectoRing and no-welding pad-eye phase in.

2025 → future

Antal is revolutionizing with a new facility. The change in management and the new additions to the R&D Team will ensure a substantial and cohesive industrial development for our company.
